Gosh.. These two. Hannah and Nick drove all the way to Max Patch from South Carolina for this session, and I am forever grateful. Not only are they incredibly photogenic ( I mean… just look at them), they’re also the sweetest couple ever. We hiked up to the top and could not believe how beautiful it was up there. Everything about this shoot was perfect. The light, the weather. Everything. If you’ve never been to Max Patch before, just trust me when I say it’s one of the most beautiful places. These two were such a joy to photograph and I’m so glad we were able to connect and make this shoot happen. Hannah is also an incredible photographer, so she even took some time to snap a few photos of me up there. I’m so grateful for opportunities to connect with other creatives and make dream sessions like this come to life. I have a feeling I’ll be back at Max Patch reeeeeaaaaaaal soon!
Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage Wedding + Event Space
I didn’t get the chance to meet Carissa and Kush prior to their day, but within minutes of arriving to photograph their wedding, we immediately all felt like best friends. These two are the kind of people who are warm, fun and inviting. I don’t think there was a moment that day when a huge smile wasn’t plastered across both of their faces. Their wedding was elegant, emotional, and full of so much joy. Their love radiated all day - from the pre-first look anticipation to their reception exit. I know they say nothing is perfect, but this wedding came pretty darn close.
What a joy it was to photograph this day. I won’t lie when I say I tear up at some point during most weddings, but this one was especially emotional - in the best way. These two met at Belmont University (go Bruins!!!) and their love story unfolded from there. Between first look/letter reading tears to couple’s portraits on campus where they met, Samantha and Kashi’s wedding was full of love and nostalgia. They were surrounded by so many loved ones, and even managed to incorporate a traditional tea ceremony with their parents before walking down the aisle. I’ve never had the privilege of photographing one of these moments before, but it was a special time for parents to give their well wishes to their kids before they said I do.
What a special day. Congrats to these two!!
99% of my sessions start out with couples warning me about how “awkward” they are, but honestly, by the end, we’re usually all laughing together and having the best time. Courtney and Adam’s lower broadway engagement session in downtown Nashville was no exception. I love shooting couple’s who are 100% comfortable being their genuine selves in front of the camera. These two giggled through the whole hour, and we even made a pit stop for pizza. Talk about a dream session, am I right? Can’t wait to shoot their big day at 14TENN next year!!
Last weekend we flew out to Kansas City to photograph these two on their big day. I had the honor of taking their engagement photos a little over a year ago here in Nashville, and now they live in Hawaii (ok guys, I’m only a little mad at you for not getting married in Hawaii).
Their wedding was unbelievably beautiful. it was classy, but modern, fun, but traditional. We loved getting to document their love. Miles teared up during the ceremony as Lauren walked down the aisle. Not even going to try to lie, I definitely teared up too. Emotional ceremonies get me every dang time.
Here’s a quick little snippet of Katherine and Matthew’s Germantown engagement session last weekend. I meeeannnnn are they the cutest or what!? I cannot freaking WAIT to photograph their big day next summer!
This last weekend I had the incredible opportunity to fly to New York to photograph Alan and Kayla. These two are so classy and so elegant, and did such a beautiful job of having every detail of their day reflect just that.
We frolicked around Central Park. Everyone who we passed stopped to congratulate them. Kayla looked like a literal princess. After Central Park and some fancy hotel photos overlooking the city, they celebrated their reception on a private yacht that circled around the Statue of Liberty. Un-freakin-real.
Here is a preview of their celebration. I am so so so honored they chose me to document their day. I love photographing people in love, especially when it takes me all the way to New York! Congrats to you both!!
